Maruti Suzuki announces price hike for its models
Shares of Maruti Suzuki advanced 1% on the BSE in the last hour of the trading session. The company announced a price hike for its models owing to increase in commodity and distribution costs and adverse foreign exchange rates.
The price rise varies across models and is up to Rs 6, 100 (Ex-Showroom - Delhi). The new prices are effective from August 16, 2018.
NBCC stock zooms 4% on order wins worth Rs250cr
Shares of NBCC were trading 4% up on Thursday’s afternoon trade after the company received an order worth Rs250cr from the Steel Authority of India (SAIL).
An order has been received for the construction of space Post-Graduate Medical Institute and a super-specialty hospital at the Rourkela steel plant.
The company will plan and design the building as a "Steel Intensive" structure and execute the works as a project management consultant using green and energy-efficient technologies.
TVS Motors launches new products for Philippines market
Motorcycle company TVS Motor has launched two new products in the Philippines market – TVS Dazz and TVS King. Despite this, the company’s stock was trading flat.
Developed to meet Euro-III standards, TVS Dazz is an exciting 110cc scooter that comes with a single cylinder, air-cooled engine, paired to a CVT unit. Meanwhile, TVS King is a 200cc, three-wheeler offering designed to be the perfect passenger carrier, consisting of a modern, low-friction, 7-port engine with peak torque at lower rpm. The vehicle is ideal to navigate as well as brave city traffic without frequent gear shifts.
Sun Pharma gets USFDA approval for its novel Dry Eye treatment drug
Sun Pharma Sun Pharma has received USFDA approval for its novel drug Cequa. This novel drug is indicated to in the treatment of dry eye. The drug increases tear production in patients with dry eye.
Cequa (cyclosporine A, ophthalmic solution) is a patented, novel, proprietary nanomicellar formulation of cyclosporine A, 0.09% in a clear, preservative-free, aqueous solution. Company claims that Cequa has the highest FDA-approved concentration of cyclosporine A (CsA) and it is the first and only approved CsA product that incorporates a nanomicellar technology.
BEML launches 150T electric dump truck
BEML launched the 150T electric drive rear dump truck on Wednesday to address an increasing demand for a higher capacity equipment in the mining industry, the company said in a release to the exchanges on Thursday.
On August 15, Deepak Kumar Hota, CMD BEML, flagged off the truck. It will be used in the Gevra Project of CIL’s subsidiary South Eastern Coal Fields.
