Nifty likely to open flat.
The Nifty50 is expected to open flat on Tuesday following Asian markets which were trading largely mixed as fears about a drawn-out Sino-US trade war, protests in Hong Kong and a crash in Argentina peso currency drove investors to safe harbours like bonds, gold, and the yen. The sentiment was already weak due to increasing signs that the United States and China will not quickly resolve their year-long trade war, said a Reuters report. Markets were hit with further turbulence after protesters managed to close down Hong Kong airport on Monday, it said. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India, with 0.32 percent gain or 35.5 points. Nifty futures were trading around 11,125-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Asian Markets: Asian markets are lower today as Chinese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Shanghai Composite is off 0.66% while the Hang Seng is down 1.38%. The Nikkei 225 is not trading.
US Markets: North and South American markets finished sharply lower today with shares in Brazil leading the region. The Bovespa is down 2.11% while Mexico's IPC is off 1.41% and U.S.'s S&P 500 is lower by 1.22%.

Nifty likely to open flat-to-higher

The Nifty50 is expected to open flat-to-higher on Friday following positive trend seen in other Asian markets, but fresh concerns about Sino-US trade ties are likely to limit gains in the region. Weighing on risk appetite was a report from Bloomberg that Washington is delaying a decision about licenses for U.S. firms to restart trade with Huawei Technologies, said a Reuters report. On Wall Street, the S&P 500 registered its largest one-day percentage gain in about two months on Thursday, with the Dow and the Nasdaq also climbed more than 1 percent, added the report. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat to positive opening for the broader index in India, with 0.09 percent gain or 10 points. Nifty futures were trading around 11,081-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Asian Markets: Asian markets are lower today as Japanese and Hong Kong shares fall. The Nikkei 225 is off 0.74% while the Hang Seng is down 0.40%. The Shanghai Composite is not trading.
US Markets: North and South American markets finished broadly higher today with shares in Brazil leading the region. The Bovespa is up 1.91% while U.S.'s S&P 500 is up 1.88% and Mexico's IPC is up 0.02%.

Nifty likely to open higher.

The Nifty50 is expected to open higher on Thursday following a mixed trend seen in other Asian markets. Overnight, US markets closed mostly higher but rising worries over a global economic downturn capped gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 22.45 points to 26,007.07, the S&P 500 gained 2.21 points to 2,883.98 and the Nasdaq Composite added 29.56 points to 7,862.83. Back home, the S&P BSE Sensex fell 286 points to 36,690 while the Nifty50 closed 92 points lower at 10,855 on Wednesday. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat to positive opening for the broader index in India, with 0.04 percent gain or 4 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,869-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Asian Markets: Asian markets are higher today as Japanese and Hong Kong shares show gains. The Nikkei 225 is up 0.59% while the Hang Seng is up 0.37%. The Shanghai Composite is not trading.

Nifty likely to open flat-to-lower.

The Nifty50 is expected to open flat-to-lower on Wednesday tracking Asian markets which were trading with positive bias. The rebound in sentiment came after the People Bank of China took stepped in to stabilise the yuan with a firmer-than-expected fixing. The yuan had fallen sharply on Monday, going past the symbolic 7-per-dollar level, and prompting Washington to label Beijing a currency manipulator in a major escalation of the year-long trade dispute between the world two largest economies, said a Reuters report. Overnight, U.S. stocks jumped more than 1 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 311.78 points to 26,029.52, the S&P 500 gained 37.03 points to 2,881.77 and the Nasdaq Composite added 107.23 points to 7,833.27. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, with a 0.47 percent loss or 51.5 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,911-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Monday the government had determined that China is manipulating its currency and that Washington would engage the International Monetary Fund to eliminate unfair competition from Beijing, said a Reuters report. Wall Street major indexes already posted their biggest percentage drop of the year on Monday on fears of an escalation in the U.S.-China trade war, the report added. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a with 0.66 percent loss or 72 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,797-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

The Nifty50 is likely to open lower on Friday tracking Asian markets which were trading lower after US President Donald Trump said he would slap a 10% tariff on the remaining $300 billion of Chinese imports from next month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 280.85 points, or 1.05 percent, to 26,583.42, the S&P 500 lost 26.82 points, or 0.90 percent, to 2,953.56 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 64.30 points, or 0.79 percent, to 8,111.12. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a with 0.46 percent loss or 50 points. Nifty futures were trading around 10,966-level on the Singaporean Exchange. The S&P BSE Sensex fell 462 points to 37,018 while the Nifty50 closed 138 points lower at 10,980 on Thursday.
