·CCI orders second probe against DLF
The Competition Commission has ordered a fresh probe against realty major DLF, finding the company to have prima-facie abused its dominant position, making it the second such probe ordered within two days.
This follows another probe ordered by CCI yesterday for probe into similar complaints related to the 'Regal Gardens at DLF Garden City' project in Gurgaon.
·Sun Pharma arm reports healthy performance in Q3FY15
Sun Pharma's Israeli subsidiary Taro Pharma reported a healthy performance in Q3FY15 – Positive for Sun Pharma.Taro’s sales grew by 11.3% rise to $237.7m, 70 Bps expansion in gross margin to 80.1% and a 28.7% jump in net profit to $142.5mn. The expansion in margins are mainly attributed to price increase it has taken on select products and lower R&D expenditure. Taro pharma contributes close to 46% of US revenue of Sun Pharma.
·Hero MotoCorp plans to launch all metal unisex scooter
Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch all metal unisex scooter to take on the market leader Honda Activa. As per media reports the launch could be in Q1FY2016.
This is positive for Hero given that the scooter segment is the fastest growing segment currently in the auto industry.
·ACC resumes operations at Chaibasa plant in Jharkhand
ACC limestone mining operations have been resumed at the captive mines Chaibasa plant in Jharkhand in terms of the recent Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Ordinance 2015. Positive for the stock.
·Triveni Turbines Q3 results largely in line with expectation
The revenue at Rs150 crore was marginally lower than our expectation, which was due to some deferment of deliveries. The management has indicated that all these turbines will be dispatched during Q4FY15, which should boost Q4FY15 revenue. Increase in other expenses led to low yoy growth of 2% in operating profit. However, other income jumped to Rs6.7 crore which actually boosted PAT to Rs23.6 crore, which was in line with our expectation.
