INDIAN EQUITY MARKET WRAP UP - 07 OCT 2016

INDIAN BENCHMARKS: SENSEX NIFTY ENDS FLAT, SENSEX DOWN 45 POINTS @ 28061 NIFTY 50 @ 8697.60

The market has once again ended in red. The Sensex closed down 45.07 points or 0.2 percent at 28061.14, and the Nifty slipped 11.95 points or 0.1 percent at 8697.60.

About 1384 shares have advanced, 1399 shares declined, and 222 shares are unchanged.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports and Lupin were top gainers while Asian Paints, Cipla, Infosys, HDFC and Bharti Airtel were losers in the Sensex.

• IDBI Bank gains on shareholder nod to raise Rs8, 000 crore.
• ONGC to pick stake in Gujarat State Petroleum Corp’s KG basin.
• Tata Motors rises on JLR reports strong sales. 

The crucial resistance for Nifty spot is now seen at 8752 and above this 8810 Support for the immediate term is now placed at 8685 and next support will be 8630.
