Lupin receives USFDA approval for Clomipramine HCL capsules
Pharma major Lupin has received USFDA approval for its Clomipramine Hydrochloride Capsules USP, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg, to market a generic version of SpecGx LLC’s Anafranil Capsules, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg.
It is indicated for the treatment of obsessions and compulsions in patients with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Anafranil Capsules, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg had annual sales of approximately $109.6mn in the US, as per IQVIA MAT September 2018 data.

BEML bags order worth Rs3,015cr for Mumbai Metro
Shares of BEML are up by 2% on the news that it has been awarded a Letter of Acceptance from DMRC for the supply of 378 metro coaches (63 metro trains) to Mumbai Metro Line - 2 & 7 projects.
The contract is worth ~Rs3, 015cr and the scope of work includes design, manufacture, supply, testing, & commissioning of 378 metro coaches, supply of spares, and training of personnel. As per the contractual timelines, train deliveries are scheduled to commence from July 2020 until September 2022.

IndiGo’s decision to charge for seats during web check-in under scanner
The Aviation Ministry is all set to look into the issue of airlines like IndiGo and SpiceJet charging for web check-in by asking passengers to pay for selecting their seats. Media reports claimed that the ministry is checking whether this charge falls within the fare unbundling scheme that is followed in India.
As per the fare unbundling rules, the Aviation Ministry allows airlines to charge for things beyond airfares, thus, helping the latter increase revenues.
IndiGo, while responding to a customer’s tweet, had clarified that “as per our revised policy, all seats are chargeable for web check-in. alternatively, you may check-in at the airport for free. Seats will be assigned as per availability".

Ashok Leyland on track to meet 2020 emission norms
Ashok Leyland (ALL), flagship firm of the Hinduja Group, announced that it had achieved its internal milestone for the full range of M&HCV on the road to meeting the BS-VI emission norms.
Dr. N. Saravanan, Senior Vice President, Product Development, Ashok Leyland, said, “We are pleased to share that we have now achieved our internal milestone on emission capability for our entire range of M&HCV vehicles.”

Alembic Pharma JV gets USFDA approval for Lidocaine ointment
Alembic Pharmaceutical’s joint venture (JV) Aleor Dermaceuticals has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) Lidocaine ointment USP, 5%, the company said in a press note to the exchanges on Monday.
The approval had a marginal impact on the company's shares, which were trading 0.5% up.
"The approved ANDA is therapeutically equivalent to the reference-listed drug product (RLD), Xylocaine ointment, 5%, of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP (AstraZeneca)," the company added in a press note.
