Nifty may open lower
The Nifty50 is likely to open flat-to-lower on Friday following muted trend seen in other Asian markets as investors waited for concrete signs of progress in the U.S.-Mexican trade standoff. Wall Street main indexes closed higher after a choppy session on Thursday as investors grew more optimistic on trade after reports that the United States is considering a delay in imposing tariffs on Mexican imports, said a Reuters report. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a negative opening for the broader index in India, a fall of 26 points or 0.22 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,857-level on the Singaporean Exchange. The Indian rupee recouped most of its early losses and closed marginally lower at 69.28 to the US dollar after the Reserve Bank in a widely expected move cut key interest rates by 0.25 percentage point.
