Nifty likely to open higher

The Nifty50 is likely to open higher on Thursday following Asian markets which were trading firm. The S&P BSE Sensex added 66.40 points to 39,112.74 while the Nifty50 ended flat at 11,691.50 on Wednesday. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the benchmark index in India, a rise of 37.50 points or 0.32 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 11,756-level on the Singaporean Exchange. Oil prices rose over 1 percent on Thursday as official data showed US crude stocks fell more than expected and as OPEC and other producers finally agreed a date for a meeting to discuss output cuts.

Global Market:
Asian Markets: Asian markets are higher today as Chinese and Hong Kong shares show gains. The Shanghai Composite is up 2.10% while the Hang Seng is up 0.91%. The Nikkei 225 is not trading.
US Markets: North and South American markets finished higher today with shares in Brazil leading the region. The Bovespa is up 0.90% while Mexico's IPC is up 0.50% and U.S.'s S&P 500 is up 0.30%.
European Markets: European markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices. The CAC 40 gained 0.16%, while the FTSE 100 led the DAX lower. They fell 0.53% and 0.19% respectively.

Rupee stands at 69.48 per dollar.

HDFC acquires 51.2% stakes in Apollo Muich Health Insurance Company HDFC will pay about Rs73.2 per share to Apollo Hospitals for the acquisition.

Adani Green Energy subsidiary wins 600MW solar-wind hybrid projects The company has received Letters of Award (LOAs) from SECI for the projects. The fixed power purchase agreement (PPA) tariff is at Rs2.69/kWh for a period of 25 years.

US Federal Reserve holds rates steady Market-based measures of inflation compensation have declined; survey-based measures of longer-term inflation expectations are little changed, the FOMC statement said.

Trend in FII flows:- The FIIs were Net Value of Rs -97.05 segment while the DIIs were Net Value of -104.91 the provisional figures.
